Refractometer brix0-5% for machining emulsion and low-concentrated sugar solution
This optical refractometer (brixmeter) has a scale in the range of 0 - 10 Bx (% of the sugar content in an aqueous solution - Mas Sacch). The reading resolution is 0.1 %. It is designed for the measurement of cutting or machining emulsions (the content of oil in an aqueous solution) or very low concentrated sugar solutions.
Scale Range :0 to 5 %Bx
Resolution :0.1 %Bx
The usual sucrose concentration of selected substances
Example: 100 grams of 25 %Bx aqueous solution contains 25 grams of sugar.
In other words, there is 25 grams of sugar and 75 grams of water in 100 grams of sugar solution.
cutting, or machining emulsions (water with oil) :0 ~ 7%Bx

sugar syrup :58 ~ 80% Bx
gentian (Gentiana lutea) - root :10 ~ 25% Bx
fruit jam (jelly) :60 ~ 70% Bx
Measurement :
The liquid measurement is very easy. Place a few drops of the liquid on the optical part of the refractometer, cover the prism (the liquid will spread more easily over the prism), look throught the eyepiece against the light (focus, if necessary) and you will be able to read the result value on the scale.
Specification :
· reference temperature 20 centigrade
· ATC - automatic temperature compensation (compensation range 0 ~ 30 centigrade)
